If you have a business, it is a MUST that you have a Facebook business page. The reason: There are over 1 billion people on Facebook so there may be an opportunity to get business there ;) Just like your finances, you want to make sure that you separate business from personal. Once you have your page setup, you need to get people to your Facebook business page. Here's how:
1. Send your friends an invite from your business page backoffice: I do not like doing this unless I have a consistant relationship with the person, because it can seem like an cold invite if you don't. If you know the person well, they will go to your page because they know, like and trust you.
2. Ask your customers to like you: The key to this is to tell them WHY to "like" your page, not just to like it. ex: If you have a fitness business, you would tell your client to like your business page to get access to nutrition and fitness tips. Make it about THEM not YOU.
3. Have a link to your business page from your personal page: This is by far how I get the most traffic to my business page. Why? People are always curious to know what you do. Where does he or she work now? What are they doing? If you have a link in your employment information to your business page, people will get curious and wonder what you are up to.
